Filtrex
To address the issue of sand failure in existing wells, OFS has launched Filtrex remedial sand control system, providing the flexibility to be installed thru-tubing and combining sand clean-out as part of the installation process.
A multilayer porous expandable filter media known as sand baffles are sized for a broad range of applications and run in hole compressed. Once set, the filter media expands by more than 75% to conform with the wellbore ID. The sand baffle is fully protected during deployment and will not be exposed until at setting depth. Filtrex is designed to retain sand whilst allowing fluid flow through the sand baffle with little effect. Once set, the tool requires no further intervention but can be easily retrieved at a later date if desired .
